in doubt

I had a meetup session with the SH07 peeps yesterday. It was months since I saw any of them and we had lots of things to talk about. At the end of the meeting, we came up with something to work on by mid 08. It's going to be hectic; juggling family, work and this. Being a sahm is not a 'shake-leg' kind of job, you know.

Ohh, here's one visual that my brains managed to churn out...just an idea.

Aisyah, Aisyah...

Friday, December 21, 2007

Nenek 'sacrificed' her $$$ on Eidul'Adha to get Aisyah a BabyBop bag and we know that she really likes it. She even wore it to sleep after 7 long hours (with a 1/2 hour break to take a bath!) of putting it on her back. I put it away only after she has slept.

And what's the first thing she said to me when she woke up this morning?

'Buuu, bag icah!'

auwwwww....

I bet she's going to melt so many hearts with that smile in future.

Shooting these lil people is one of my toughest jobs because they zip around really fast, don't take my instructions and they have really short attention span. So I have to make faces and sing the latest Barney hits while holding up my camera (this is tricky!) which makes me look very stupid funny. The next time I have a lil people photoshoot, I'm just going to try one of these.

I can't believe A-d-i-d-a-s is doing this. come on, A-d-i-d-a-s...we all know that asking for such cheap services when you do not come from a registered non-profitable/charity organisation is downright unprofessional. It blatantly means that the event is not really important so any photographer can just 'volunteer'. If they think this event is too easy to shoot, why don't they just ask anyone working with them to shoot?

I know beginners have to start somewhere but some t&c will require the photographer to lose the rights to his/her pictures and the photographer will have to consider that carefully. Is your passion worth only that much?

Have you hugged anyone today?

Saturday, December 15, 2007

I need a hug too...

I have a sahabat who would often end her emails to me with a "Nor, pls give your mom a hug for me because I no longer have a mother to hug. Thx, dear." That line tugged on my heartstrings even though I received an email from her every now and then.

I came from a family where hugs are rare...well, until I got married. heh. I have to admit, I don’t hug my dad and there was once or twice he hugged me (once was on my wedding day..I cant remember the other one)....it’s just the way that we were brought up. Ever since I moved to Bishan, my mom would hug me everytime it's time for me to go. I wish that I’ve shown my parents more of my affection. Nowadays, she gives Aisyah more hugs instead of me though. :P

For those that have not hugged anyone, it’s not too late to start it with your parents, your siblings, your wife/hubby, your kids, your friends, your pet...and the list goes on. Now, why are you still staring at the screen?

Their followup video to 'Evolution'. Interestingly, this company was producing similar ads previously but it is so shedding this image now. I prefer their 'Evolution' though.
