once upon a norza

i am norza and this is my blog

I survived...

...this year's Shooting Home held at Objectifs. I was emotionally and physically drained getting my assignment done on time, attending the workshops (I had to miss some because of my subject's schedule...heh) and the critique sessions. The critique sessions ended really late and shooting had to start early in the morning for some of us. I usually zonked out once I reached home. The selection of photos to include in the exhibition by the mentors and printing of the photographs were all done on the day itself.

So you can imagine all 10 of us in the room clamouring for 3 printers which churned out an A3 photo paper every 10-15minutes and 1 of them was down after a few test-prints. Murphy's at work as usual. :P But everyone played a part in this preview show. Those who had finished their printing/mounting helped the others who hadnt' and completed whatever outstanding tasks there is like measuring the walls to hang up the photos and tearing open the twisties packets to be placed in huge bowls.

It felt like I was back in school again...the printing of photos, cutting them, mounting them and hanging on the wall. Some guests were a bit too early and we had to tell them to come back again later. But it was a hell of an experience. And there it was...my work was one of those on the wall. A sense of relief washed over me. I finally have an exhibition of my works. Alhamdulillah.

And for those of you who had missed it, here are the details to the exhibition so mark your calendars!
