specs'less

While I was golek2'ing on the bed with Aisyah last Wednesday, I fell asleep. Aisyah must have found my specs and tried putting it on because she nudged me to give me back my specs which was broken apart already. I asked her,

"Who broke Ibu's specs?"

She knows it's her own doing and she does the finger-wagging thingy and say, 'syaaah!'. Well, she gave me that sweetest smile of hers and of course, I didn't scold her. It's naturally my fault for not putting away the specs away from her. Just like the day before, she succesfully formatted my phone making me lose all my contacts and my favourite mms'es and photos in the album folder. It's my fault too because I let her play with my handphone.

I remember reading about kids never being 'bad'. Children generally develop this appropriate autonomy and initiative if they go through lots of exploring and experimenting. But autonomy doesn't mean they can do anything they want. A friend who has 5 kids shared with me that "If they shouldnt touch something, then that thing should NOT be within their reach."

It's simple, really. I'll just remember to keep my phone and specs away from Aisyah next time. ;)
